Wood Platter Build

Saturday 11/21, 1-5pm

Materials and tools provided, students will leave with a platter!

In this class, students will design and build a wooden serving platter using solid wood techniques. Emphasis is placed on proportion, surface quality, and finishes suitable for food use.

You’ll learn to:

Select stable stock

Shape platters by hand and machine

Refine surfaces for daily use

Apply durable, food-safe finishes

Evaluate form through function
