Greenwood Small Crafts introduces students to working wood straight from the log. Using simple hand tools, students will split, shape, and finish small objects (bowls, spoons, boxes) that celebrate immediacy and material understanding.
This class emphasizes rhythm, grain awareness, and efficient handwork.
You’ll learn to:
Understand green wood properties
Split and orient stock
Use carving and shaping tools safely
Read grain in three dimensions
Finish small functional objects
Who it’s for: All skill levels. Especially suited to those interested in handwork and traditional craft.
